This article discusses the Brazilian federalism, its appearance, its historical evolution among the Brazilian policies, its contradictory aspects; what makes it a unique federalism. Also we will bring their skills and main divisions of federal entities, some of them very criticized and the way to go for federalism that best fits the model of a social and democratic state of law.
